iChannel Lite needs Full Control over the C:\Mercury directory in order to function properly. This allows it to modify the config file as well as create and delete vital temporary files. Although you may assign Full Control on a per user account basis, for the sake of simplicity it is recommended that the permissions be assigned to the Everyone or Users group. If the user is logging onto a domain, then you should assign the Domain Users group Full Control.
.) To check/assign permissions, open C:\. Right-click the Mercury directory and select Properties from the drop-down menu. Select the Security tab.
.) If you see any of the accounts/groups mentioned above under the Group or user names box, click it to see the permissions in the bottom box. If Full Control is not enabled, check the box and click Apply. Repeat this process with any remaining accounts.
.) If you do not see any of the accounts/groups mentioned above under the Group or user names box, click Add. A box will appear for you to enter the name of the new account/group. Type it and then click OK.
.) Repeat step 2 to set the new permissions on the new account.
