Junction boxes act as a bridge between digital telephony stations and a telephony card, such as are in the Voice Solutions server or VS Recorder. Some models also provide worklights to DAC transcribe stations informing them dictation is available for transcription. A junction box, however, is only necessary if the station is direct-wired to the server.

Junction boxes require:

Voice Solutions Server
Digital dictate or transcribe stations
